Interpreting foreign records is a challenge for many school personnel. This guidebook has taken the worry and stress out of evaluating transcripts and determining what credit is allowable. It contains curriculum translations for the most common foreign countries represented in Texas schools. These countries include: China, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, France, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, and Vietnam. Streamlining the interpretation of foreign transcripts allows consistency among schools which ultimately supports students. Please keep in mind that the Texas Education Agency does not provide guidelines for interpreting and awarding foreign credit, it is completely at the discretion of each Learning Education Agency to determine what credit they will accept.
